à la mode began in 2005 and features handmade modern products utilizing innovative materials and eco-friendly resources.  As environmental sustainability  reaches heightened awareness, à la mode not only promotes recycling and up-cycling but also re-imagining everyday objects.  "When we can view an object as something more than its intended purpose, we become more resourceful and less wasteful.  I am fascinated with the idea that hard industrial elements can be made to reflect a softer elegant aesthetic.  I love making something unexpected out of objects that we find common place." - Linda à la mode's founder, Linda Demers, was re-inventing and re-imagining even as a very small girl.  If she didn't have what she needed, she'd make it with whatever materials she found available.   She went on to study architecture and interior design in school before working in the non profit sector honing marketing, pr, and fund raising skills. à la mode is the culmination of Linda's business experience, passion for design and childhood dream.
